National Police Memorial Day

South Yorkshire Police Federation will take the families of fallen officers to the 23rd National Police Memorial Day on Sunday 27 September at Waterfront Hall, Belfast.

Federation Chair Steve Kent said: “It is always a fantastic day and it’s an absolute honour and privilege for us as South Yorkshire Federation to take the families of our fallen officers who have lost their lives in the course of their duty.

“We will take them to the memorial this year at Belfast, make sure that they’re looked after, and allow them to pay their respects to their loved ones.

“It will be a particularly poignant event this year, coming so soon after the death of our colleagues in Cleveland. It’s one of the most important things we do as a Federation.”
