Win For South Yorkshire Officers At Emergency Services Awards

South Yorkshire Police Federation has congratulated the officers who received gongs at the Master Cutler 2023 Emergency Services Awards.

At the awards ceremony on 12 July, PC Darren McKenna won the individual award for exemplary service, and PC Alex Eyre and A/Sgt Natalie Butler were recognised for their actions when they arrived at the scene of a house fire last year.

South Yorkshire Police Federation Chair Steve Kent said: “It’s fantastic that these officers were recognised in this way.

“PC Darren McKenna is unbelievable in his dedication to the job. Everyone knows him, as he’s an unbelievable frontline cop who gets involved in everything. He’s been with the force for so long, and it’s absolutely brilliant that people like that, who give so much dedication in service, get this kind of recognition.”
