Looking Forward To Our 2026 Bravery Awards

The South Yorkshire Police Federation Bravery Awards 2026 is taking place later this month, and will once again celebrate officers’ outstanding acts of courage.

On Thursday 21 May, nominated officers, their families, and senior policing figures will gather to hear amazing stories of bravery.

South Yorkshire Police Federation Chair Steve Kent said: “We’re all really excited about the awards and looking forward to them. It is a unique thing within policing to do something that is so universally positive and celebrates our fantastic officers.

“It’s a great event that highlights the brave work that our officers do, day in and day out. And, as well as these examples, there are many, many more incidents that don’t come to the fore. This is one of our main events of the year – it makes you so proud when you hear about what our officers do.”

At the event an overall winner will be announced, who will travel to London for the National Police Federation Bravery Awards in July.

The South Yorkshire Police Federation Bravery Awards are in association with the National Police Healthcare Scheme.

Also sponsoring the awards are Police Friendly, Irwin Mitchell, Philip Williams, Serve and Protect Credit Union, Police Mortgages, Accord, Niche, Uniform Mortgages, Far and Wide Mortgages, and No1 Copperpot Credit Union.
