Incredible Night At South Yorkshire Federation Awards
The South Yorkshire Police Bravery Awards took place in Sheffield on 29 May and recognised a dozen officers for their exceptional courage.
The overall winners were PC Anna Kelsey and PC Nicola Burn, who were first on the scene at a distressing double murder. They will attend the National Police Bravery Awards in London on 11 July.
Federation Chair Steve Kent was sadly unable to attend the event, but he said: “Massive congratulations to everybody who was celebrated on the night.
“I was genuinely devastated that I couldn’t attend, and I’m grateful to Federation Secretary Dave Baines for taking that on and doing such a sterling job, from all accounts. I hope everyone enjoyed the night and thanks to everyone for attending.
“I’m looking forward to taking Nicola and Anna to London in July for the national awards; they are very worthy nominees.”
