Christmas and New Year message from Chair Zuleika Payne

“THIS year has been an extremely challenging year for our officers, we are in unprecedented times and officers have endured a lot,” writes Chair Zuleika Payne in a Christmas and New Year message to members.

She adds: “We want to make sure that our officers stay safe in their endeavours to keep the public safe during the festive season and we hope that you manage to spend some quality time with your families and friends.

“Whilst much of the focus for many families will be on spending time together, our police officers and emergency service workers will be working around the clock. That precious time with family and loved ones can be a rarity for our serving officers.

“We send our warmest wishes for the festive season and a prosperous 2018.”
