Looking Forward To Federation Bravery Awards

The South Yorkshire Police Federation Bravery Awards on 25th May is shaping up to be a fantastic night for policing.

Federation Chair Steve Kent said: “Last year’s awards ceremony was a great success. We’re looking forward to the same again and we’re looking forward to seeing those beaming smiles on the officers and their families in the room, which is so valid – it’s so important that we recognise these acts of courage.”

Steve added that it was great to be able to share police bravery stories, and that the awards prompted “thousands of positive interactions on social media and in the newspapers”.

He said: “When policing is so unfairly targeted and negatively weighted at the minute, it’s so needed to remind members of the public and politicians and journalists of the unbelievable job that 99.9% of our officers are doing.”
