New Assistant Chief for South Yorkshire Police

SOUTH Yorkshire Police has a new Temporary Assistant Chief Constable with Ingrid Lee joining the command team from her current role at West Yorkshire Police.

ACC Lee will take up the role vacated by ACC Max Sahota who will join the College of Policing as Faculty Lead for Organisational Development. She will lead the Specialist Crime Service, Operational Support Service and Legal Services when she joins in August.

Chief Constable David Crompton said: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Ingrid to South Yorkshire Police.

“Her wealth of knowledge in specialist areas of policing will be an excellent addition to the Force.”

Police and Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright said: “Ingrid will be an excellent addition to an already strong team.

“Like all police forces, South Yorkshire Police has many challenges ahead and I feel confident that Ingrid will help lead her specific areas of the force through those challenges effectively.”

Assistant Chief Constable Ingrid Lee said: “I’m really excited about this opportunity to join South Yorkshire Police’s Senior Command Team and work with them and the wider organisation. It’s a great team and I look forward to working with them.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in West Yorkshire Police. I will miss colleagues throughout the organisation and knew that any move away from there would be difficult and it is, however this was too good an opportunity to miss and I’m confident it’s the right time.”
